The Ramshorn Estate primarily book family parties. We do not accept stag or hen parties and reserve the right to decline bookings from large/single sex parties.
A £25 booking fee is payable on all bookings.
To secure any reservation, we require a deposit of £250 for 7 a night booking or £150 for a short break.The booking fee is also payable at the time of booking. Any balance is due 8 weeks before arrival. For bookings made less than 8 weeks away, full payment is required.
We can accept payments by cheque made payable to Ramshorn Estate Limited or by credit or debit card. There is a 2% surcharge for any credit card payment.
If you need to cancel your holiday, you need to notify us immediately. The following charges are payable:
More than 43 days – Deposit only
42 to 29 days – 50%
28 to 8 days – 75%
7 days or under – 100%
A ‘Good Housekeeping’ bond of £100 is required to cover against costs for any loss or breakage.You need to telephone 01538 399813 to give your card details for the bond AND YOUR CARD WILL BE DEBITED FOR £100. After departure, the housekeepers will check the property and providing that it has been left in a satisfactory condition, the cheque will be destroyed.
You can arrive any time after 4 p.m. on your first day. For your convenience, the keys to the property will be left in a ‘key safe’ box outside of the property so that you can arrive at your leisure. You will need to call 01538 399813 during office hours one week prior to arrival to obtain the key codes.
Please vacate the lodge by 10 a.m. to give the housekeepers time to prepare the lodge for the next guests. The keys should be put back in the box when you leave.
Car parking on site is restricted. Please see the individual lodge details for the amount of parking at each property.
Beds are made up on arrival. 1 bath and 1 hand towel will be left for guests. If you require any more towels, please bring these along particularly if you have hired a lodge with a hot tub as we do not provide additional towels for this use.
There is a log burning stove in every property and a supply of logs and sticks will be left for you. If you requrie a further supply these are available to purchase.
A small pack of cleaning materials, toilet rolls etc. is left in each property. This intended as a starter pack only and you may need to bring/purchase more items, particularly for longer stays.
There are two ponds within the grounds. Please take extra care with children and do not leave them unsupervised.
All properties are STRICTLY non smoking.
Pets are allowed in Dimmingsdale and Norbury only. There is a charge payable of £25 per pet.
The management reserve the right to refuse any reservation and also remove any guests from the lodge who abuse the property or displays dangerous, rude or offensive behaviour to the property owner/caretaker, any neighbours or third parties.
